Audiobook proofing services I offer include:
Listening along with the original manuscript to make sure you’re word perfect to make your author happy
Noting any disruptive sounds (clicks, table knocks, ambient sounds, your neighbor’s dog) you might be immune to from having heard them 9,000 times
Keeping track of accents and character voices to ensure consistency
Marking the manuscript and/or providing a spreadsheet with time stamps, page numbers, and notes to use for pickups or fixes
For open roll recording, marking the script as a map for your editor (which will immediately make you their favorite client)
Rates are determined by finished hour (or by physical hour for open roll).
